Maruf Ahmed is a pioneer of modern event décor systems in the UK wedding and hospitality industry. Drawing on his early career as a Venue Manager, he developed a first-hand understanding of the operational pressures faced by venues and independent planners — from tight turnaround times to labour-heavy installations. In response, he founded WeddingMart to reimagine how professional décor could work in practice. Through the business, Maruf designs modular backdrop, drapery, floral and decorative systems that are faster, safer and easier to install, cutting setup times from hours to minutes while eliminating the need for timber frames, heavy draping or specialist skills. Today, he specialises in professional, venue-grade décor products built for durability, repeat use, and efficient transport and storage.
