About us

Welcome to No Strings Public Relations — The Fair PR Agency: an affordable, journalist-led boutique PR agency for founders, experts, consultants, coaches, small businesses and growing brands.

We help credible people and brands earn meaningful media coverage through Essential PR and Standard PR services, without long traditional agency retainers, vague activity reports or unnecessary agency complexity.

Our model is built around clear pricing, honest advice and commercially useful PR, delivered by people who understand both the media and the realities of growing a business. We believe good PR should build trust, visibility, thought leadership and long-term momentum. Not just noise.

Who we are

Founded in 2015 in London, No Strings Public Relations is a 30+ strong team of PR professionals, writers and former journalists, with team members based across London, New York and Canada, supported by a trusted network of freelance editors.

Many of us have worked in newsrooms. We understand how journalists think, what makes a story publishable and what gets ignored because we have been on the receiving end of pitches ourselves.

We specialise in UK, US and Canadian publicity, working with founders, experts, consultants, coaches, small businesses, authority-led brands, growing businesses and selected public figures.

By operating as a fully remote team, we have stripped out unnecessary overheads and focused our investment where it matters: experienced people, strong media outreach, clear communication and consistent PR activity.

The result is national reach with boutique-style flexibility, senior strategic thinking where it matters, and a service built around outcomes rather than optics.

Our PR services

We offer two affordable, journalist-led boutique PR services.

Essential PR is our focused service for building authority around one clear area of expertise. It is designed for founders, experts, consultants, coaches, small businesses and growing brands that want focused expertise-led visibility.

Standard PR is our broader account-managed service for brands that want support around expertise, thought leadership, founder visibility, products, services, real-life stories, business news and wider media opportunities.

Both services are built around honest advice, clear pricing, journalist-led thinking and earned media coverage that supports credibility over time.

What we do

At No Strings Public Relations, we see PR as a commercial tool.

Done properly, it builds credibility, visibility, authority, thought leadership and long-term demand.

We represent experts, brands and businesses across sectors including technology, finance, beauty, careers, sustainability, professional services, wellness, health, property, home, interiors and consumer products.

Our work includes:

We help clients become visible for what they know, what they do and the stories they can credibly tell.

For founders, experts, consultants and authority-led brands, that often means turning their knowledge, opinions and thought leadership themes into media angles journalists can actually use.

Every angle is shaped around two things: what journalists actually want to publish, and what audiences are likely to trust.

We regularly work with journalists across national, consumer, business, lifestyle and trade media, securing coverage in titles including Mail Online, The Telegraph, Metro, Forbes and more.

The goal is not coverage for the sake of it.

It is coverage that helps people understand who you are, why you are credible and why your brand is worth paying attention to.

PR with senior strategic thinking behind it

Strong PR starts before the first pitch is sent.

Every campaign includes journalist-led strategic thinking, angle development and media positioning, with the level of support shaped around the service and media opportunity. We look at what makes a client credible, what they should be known for, which thought leadership themes they can credibly own and what journalists are most likely to care about.

Within Standard PR, where it will strengthen the campaign, this may also include a senior Founder & Authority Positioning Session designed to clarify authority angles, founder story, expert commentary opportunities, thought leadership themes and media-ready messaging before outreach begins.

Within Standard PR, for real-life, founder or customer stories with genuine press potential, senior current or former journalist input may also be used to shape the angle, lead or support interviews and prepare the story for media outreach.

The goal is simple: we shape the authority, then earn the media visibility to validate it.

Meet Riley, our founder

Hi, I’m Riley, Co-Founder of No Strings Public Relations.

Over the last eight years, I’ve worked across the UK and US media landscape, helping founders, experts and brands secure meaningful coverage in trusted publications.

I’ve seen how powerful PR can be when it is done properly, and how often credible people and businesses miss out because of cost, complexity or rigid agency contracts.

That’s why we built No Strings Public Relations: to make journalist-led PR more accessible, flexible and commercially sensible through clear services, honest pricing and practical support for credible growing brands.

Our team handles the heavy lifting, helping clients build authority, visibility, trust and thought leadership through expert commentary, founder stories, strategic media positioning and credible earned media coverage.

Our model is simple: when PR works commercially, clients stay — and partnerships last.

How We Work

Good PR needs experience, judgement and organisation.

Our team is made up of PR professionals, former journalists and writers who understand what makes a story work, what journalists need, and how to turn expertise, thought leadership, founder insight, products, services, stories and business news into media opportunities journalists can actually use.

We are organised because PR moves quickly. Journalists work to deadlines, opportunities can appear with little notice, and strong ideas need to be shaped and pitched at the right time.

That means we keep campaigns clear, active and well-managed, without making the process feel complicated for clients.

We focus on the things that actually make PR work:

You are not left wondering what is happening, and you are not expected to manage the process yourself.

We keep things moving, keep you informed, and bring the experience needed to spot what will make a journalist care.

Why Founders, Experts, Small Businesses and Brands Work With Us

Founders, experts, small businesses and growing brands work with us because we make PR feel clearer, more accessible and more commercially useful.

We are not here to create noise for the sake of it. We are here to help you build credibility, visibility and media momentum in a way that supports your wider business goals.

We bring the experience to know when a story is strong, when it needs shaping, and when a different angle is likely to work better.

We are honest about what PR can and cannot do, but we are also proactive, creative and persistent in finding the right opportunities.

For many clients, that balance is what makes the difference: experienced PR people, a clear plan, regular communication and consistent outreach without inflated retainers or unnecessary agency theatre.

No overcomplication. No guesswork. Just organised, journalist-led PR designed to help the right brands become more visible, credible and trusted.

Our Approach

We believe PR works best when it is honest, consistent and grounded in something real.

Our job is to find the angle, shape it properly and put it in front of the right journalists.

Sometimes that means developing expert commentary. Sometimes it means sharpening founder positioning. Sometimes it means identifying a thought leadership angle. Sometimes it means interviewing a founder, customer or real-life story subject so the story is clear, credible and media-ready before it reaches a journalist.

We do not believe in pretending every business update is breaking news. We do not believe in vague activity reports. And we do not believe in making PR feel more complicated than it needs to be.

We believe in clear advice, strong execution and media coverage that helps brands build trust over time.
