A Fairer Way To Do PR

Most growing brands know they need more credibility.

They want to be seen as experts.

They want stronger authority.

They want media opportunities that help them look more trusted.

But they may not be ready for a broader PR campaign straight away.

PR Essentials is designed as a focused starting point.

For £297 per month, we help you start building authority through one clear expert profile, reactive journalist opportunities and regular expertise-led press release activity.

It is journalist-led, structured and commercially sensible — but intentionally lighter than our Standard PR Plan.

PR Essentials is built around a simple idea:

You already know things that could be useful to journalists.

Our job is to help shape that knowledge into media-friendly ideas, comments and press release angles.

Activity may include:

  • Expert commentary

  • Reactive journalist opportunities

  • Advice-led press releases

  • Seasonal commentary

  • Useful tips and insight

  • Online and print media opportunities

The goal is simple: help you become more visible, credible and trusted for what you know.

What’s Included In PR Essentials

One expert profile

We create one focused expert profile around your knowledge, experience or specialist area.

This gives us a clear foundation for your PR activity and helps journalists understand what you can comment on.

Reactive journalist opportunities

We look for suitable journalist requests and reactive media opportunities linked to your area of expertise.

When the right opportunity comes up, we can pitch you to the journalist and support with the copywriting needed for your response.

Two expertise-led press releases per month

You receive up to two press releases per month focused on sharing your expertise.

These are not product launches, service campaigns, founder stories, real-life stories or business news announcements. Those sit within the Standard PR Plan.

PR Essentials press releases are built around useful advice, expert commentary, timely opinions, seasonal hooks or practical insight journalists may want to use.

We can pitch you ideas, or we can come up with ideas together.

Basic PR direction

You receive basic PR direction so your activity has focus.

This is lighter than our Standard PR Plan, but still shaped around what journalists are likely to find useful from your area of expertise.

Online and print media

PR Essentials focuses on online and print media opportunities where relevant.

TV, radio and podcast outreach are not included in PR Essentials or the Standard PR Plan as standard.

Monthly call or update

You receive a monthly call or written update, depending on what is most useful at the time.

Is PR Essentials Right For You?

This plan is a good fit if:

  • You want a lower-cost way to start PR

  • You are a coach, consultant, founder, expert or service business

  • You have one clear area of expertise

  • You want to start building authority through media visibility

  • You are interested in expert commentary and reactive opportunities

  • You want regular press release activity

  • You understand that PR is organic and coverage is not guaranteed

  • You want journalist-led support without a large agency retainer

This plan is probably not the right fit if:

  • You want a full PR campaign

  • You need multiple profiles or wider campaign angles

  • You want TV, radio or podcast outreach

  • You need advanced positioning support

  • You want the Founder & Authority Positioning Session

  • You expect guaranteed press coverage

  • You want completely hands-off PR with no involvement

  • You are only interested in backlinks rather than wider credibility and visibility

Hi, I’m Riley, Co-Founder of No Strings Public Relations.

For nearly a decade, I’ve helped founders, experts and brands across the UK and US earn media coverage that builds credibility, visibility and long-term authority.

Our team includes experienced PR professionals, writers and former journalists who understand how newsrooms work, what editors want and how to shape comments, stories and press release angles journalists can actually use.

PR Essentials is our focused starting point for coaches, consultants, founders, experts and service businesses who want to begin building authority through journalist-led PR.

It is not designed to do everything. It is designed to help you start.

If you have one clear area of expertise and want to become more visible for what you know, this may be the right first step.

If you want a fuller campaign around your expertise, business and story, our Standard PR Plan may be a better fit.

Who We Work Best With

PR Essentials works best for people and businesses with credible expertise, experience or insight to share.

This is not a broad product, service or founder-story PR campaign. It is designed for clients who can comment on useful topics, answer journalist questions and share advice the media may want to use.

Examples include:

  • Consultants and executive coaches with clear professional expertise

  • Life coaches, business coaches and leadership coaches with practical advice to share

Not Every Brand Is The Right Fit

PR Essentials works best when there is clear expertise, experience or insight we can shape into journalist-friendly commentary.

Because of that, some sectors are not the right fit for this plan.

We don’t work with:

  • Smoking, vaping, CBD or cannabis brands

  • Politics, gambling or adult content

  • Brands selling or promoting weapons

  • Religious organisations

  • MLM

  • Wealth coaching / Property coaching

  • Media outlets or publishing platforms

  • Marketing agencies for themselves

  • Artists, musicians, films or fiction writers

  • Jewellery brands

  • Crypto / Investment opportunities / Financial institutions

Still Have Questions? We’ve Got You

  • No. PR Essentials is a focused starting point.

It is built around one expert profile, reactive journalist opportunities and expertise-led press releases. If you want wider PR around your business, founder story, services, products or news, our Standard PR Plan may be a better fit.

  • No. PR Essentials is not DIY PR.

You are not left to work out your own angles, write everything yourself or pitch journalists on your own. We guide, prod, suggest, encourage, shape the ideas, support the copywriting and pitch suitable opportunities.

That said, we do need your input and sign-off. You are the expert. We are the PR team helping turn that expertise into something journalists can use.

  • No. PR Essentials is not a PR platform or PR software.

You are not just getting access to a tool, database or dashboard and being left to do the PR yourself. Our team helps shape your angles, supports the copywriting and pitches suitable opportunities.

There may be systems behind the scenes to keep everything organised, but the service itself is human-led, journalist-led PR support.

  • You will be supported by the No Strings PR team.

PR Essentials is a focused plan, so it does not include the same depth of account management or strategic support as our Standard PR Plan, but you will still be dealing with real people who understand PR, journalists and media angles.

You will hear from us several times a week as we guide the activity, suggest ideas, request input, support the copywriting and pitch suitable opportunities.

You will need to provide input and sign-off, because the expertise has to come from you.

  • Item descriptionNo. You just need credible expertise, experience or insight that could be useful to journalists.

PR Essentials is designed to help you start becoming more visible for what you know.

  • Yes. We support the copywriting for suitable reactive journalist opportunities and create up to two expertise-led press releases per month.

You are still the expert, so we will need your input, insight and sign-off. Our role is to shape your expertise into clear, media-friendly comments and press release angles that journalists can actually use.

We may pitch you ideas, or we can develop ideas together, but everything should be grounded in your knowledge, experience and point of view.

  • No. PR Essentials is not based on newswire distribution.

We do not simply upload your press release to a wire and hope something happens. We shape expertise-led press release angles and pitch relevant media opportunities where your insight may be useful.

The focus is earned PR, journalist-led angles and useful expert commentary — not mass distribution.

  • No. PR is earned, so journalists decide what they use.

We can create strong angles, pitch suitable opportunities and support the copywriting, but no PR plan can honestly guarantee coverage.

  • If you need more campaign depth, you can move to the Standard PR Plan.

Standard is better suited to broader PR around your expertise, business, founder story, products, services, real-life stories or business news.
